Senior Pastor – Mountain Grove Church

Mountain Grove Church seeks God’s leadership as we search for a Senior Pastor. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist State Convention, and the Caldwell Baptist Association. We are located in the beautiful foothills of Western NC, with a 1500-capacity Sanctuary. We believe the Holy Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible word. The Senior Pastor is responsible for proclaiming the Gospel of Christ and encouraging the local church body to do so, guiding the congregation’s spiritual development, providing pastoral care in meeting the needs of persons in the church and the community, and providing administrative leadership of the Church. We are searching for a Joyful Pastor who will lead us in reaching the lost, equipping the saints, shepherding the flock, faithful preaching and teaching the Word of God, and supporting all church ministries including counseling and Pastoral care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Meet all Qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7
  • Minimum of 5 years being a Pastor of a Southern Baptist Church
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree or Higher in Seminary
  • Personal calling to Ministry
  • Must exhibit quality leadership and communication skills
  • Student, Teacher, and Preacher of the Word of God

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Love and engage with members of the congregation and community.
  • Plan and oversee the experience for both traditional and contemporary services.
  • Work with church officers, ministries, and committees in accordance with the church by-laws as they serve and perform their responsibilities with in the church.
  • Motivate, equip, and nurture the people of the church through example, preaching, and teaching God’s word and spiritual counseling.
  • Provide leadership and vision for the church in ministry and growth. Pastor and Deacons will work together to support the purposes of the church which are evangelism, discipleship, missions, services and worship.
